Implant Secured Denture
For a more advanced solution, dentures can be fixed securely with dental implants (overdentures), making the dentures much smaller and with minimal coverage of the roof of the mouth. The dentures are still removable for cleaning; however, when clipped onto the implants, they are secure, so you can bite into apples and chew steak without worrying.
You can even replace your dentures with a full set of fixed permanent teeth known as full jaw dental implants or a fixed bridge so that you never need to worry about your teeth moving again.

iDentures – The Biofunctional Prosthetic System
The Biofunctional Prosthetic System by Ivoclar Vivodent uses some of the highest quality materials. It offers highly accurate impression taking and correct bite registration, using a Gnathometer/gothic arch tracing. We produce a functional and natural looking denture. Using world class Ivoclar Vivodent Phonares II or Enigma Life teeth, the dentures are processed using the Ivobase injection mould system. The finished prosthesis is then customised with Nexco composite.

Using world-class Ivoclar Vivodent Phonares II or Schottlander teeth, together with you, we choose the size, shape and colour of your new teeth.
Squarer teeth give a bolder look, rounder teeth give a softer look, flatter tips look more mature, and rounder tips with more translucent edges look more youthful. Bigger teeth suit broader smiles and people with bigger frames, whereas smaller teeth suit narrower faces or people with more petite bone structure. And with 20 different colour shades to choose from, from bleach shades to mature yellows, all with a harmonious distribution of translucency, opalescence and fluorescence, there is a colour to suit every personality.
Optimum Facial Aesthetics – Restoring Lost Volume
Bone shrinks after teeth are lost, so we position the denture teeth with your lips and cheeks properly supported, reducing any sagging and wrinkles. The shrinking bone also reduces the vertical face height, causing the jaw to look short and thin. Aesthetic dentures can be created to restore the face height to the correct position, creating optimum fullness to the face and lips.

First Impressions Taken
This important stage is when the first impressions are taken very carefully and as comfortably as possible.

Secondary Impressions & Bite Registration
At this stage, the most accurate impressions are taken, the dimesions of the new dentures are recorded in relation to your facial shape, and the colour and shape of the new teeth are chosen.

Wax Try-in
At this stage, the new dentures have the teeth set up in wax so that you can try them in before they are processed. Together with your clinician, you can check the shape, colour, and position of the teeth and try these “wax dentures” in your mouth.

Final Fit
Your dentures will be fitted and the bite and comfort checked.

Aftercare

Clinical Denture Technician, James Baker
With James, we have the best of two worlds. Firstly, James is a qualified Dental Technician and is highly experienced in constructing dentures in the laboratory. Secondly, he is clinically qualified as a Clinical Dental Technician (CDT), so he works in practice with patients. Combining these two skills gives astonishing results. James works directly with patients at the chairside, and then creates the dentures himself in the dental laboratory using advanced denture materials.
James has over 16 years’ experience in the dental technology field. James qualified as a Dental Technician in 2007 from Leeds Dental Institute. James qualified as a CDT through the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and has completed the Ivoclar iDenture course. GDC no:151659. Qualified in U.K.

Dr Adam Glassford is the leading Cosmetic and Implant Dental Surgeon at Andrea Ubhi Dentistry.
Adam carries out Dental Implant, Sedation & Cosmetic Dentistry on patients referred by other dentists as well as those that self-refer. He has limited his clinical practice exclusively to these clinical disciplines.
Adam Qualified in 1996 from Leeds University with BChD. He has undertaken numerous postgraduate courses.
