My teeth are now better than I could ever have imagined.

When I first came for my consultation, I was hoping Invisalign would be an option. However, it quickly became clear that my teeth were more complex and required more intervention than Invisalign alone could offer. I had both a crossbite and an underbite, which meant undergoing 20 months of traditional braces.

I wasn't particularly confident about my teeth when I started, but I never once felt judged. From Kim on reception, who was always warm, welcoming and helpful, to Tarun and his professional, reassuring manner, I genuinely felt that everyone wanted the very best outcome for me.

Tarun is an absolute wizard. My teeth were stubborn, but he never gave up and never settled for "good enough." He continued refining and perfecting the treatment until the results were truly incredible. My teeth are now exactly how I always dreamed they could be.

To finish everything off, I had composite bonding with Stephen, and the results exceeded all my expectations.

I honestly cannot recommend the team highly enough. They have not only transformed my smile but also given me my confidence back, and for that I am incredibly grateful.

From start to finish a dental implant is quite a long process, but the final result is well worth the effort. The surgery is modern and well equipped and at each visit Dr Glassford conducted the various procedures efficiently and with care. I literally cannot praise the practice enough. Jade and Sally spent ages helping me to get an appointment and were so empathetic as I was in horrific pain. They managed to fit me in as an emergency with a cancellation appointment. I arrived and was immediately impressed by the decor and the professionalism of all at the practice. All of the ladies that welcomed me on my arrival were so lovely and couldn't help enough. I was taken in for an x ray which was much better than my current surgery. I then went in to see Adam. Well what can I say!! He was so nice and personable and explained everything.He took a complicated wisdom tooth out and I felt nothing not even the injections beforehand. I had no pain after and it was the best experience I have ever had in a dentist in my life. From now on I will be making the 4 hour round trip to visit this practice in future. I wish I had done it sooner! I’ve been uncomfortable with how my teeth looked for 30 years and for my 50th birthday I finally did something about it. Absolutely incredible! I first joined Andrea Ubhi when I wanted a second opinion on dental surgery and Tim Steel took the time to explain all my options, using models to show me the process and why it needed to be done. This meant I was able to make a much more informed decision on my treatment. Since then, I joined their practice as a new patient and have been with them for a year. Every time I call there is no delay in getting a response (as there is at many dentists). Staff are kind and friendly, and the environment is really welcoming. Stewart Simpkins has been an amazing dentist and in contrast to previous dentists where I felt like I was being told off, I feel like I am working with Stewart to achieve a shared goal. Similar to Tim, he always shows me the process of any treatment or injury I may have. After recently concussing a tooth, he not only put my mind at ease, but showed me how it happens. Likewise, working with Amy and Faye, they showed me areas I was missing when brushing and gave me great advice on best practice when brushing/flossing. This has led to a large reduction in plaque levels. I was already confident with my smile, but working with the team at Andrea Ubhi will ensure I can keep smiling for a long time.

Dr Stuart Simpkins took a 3D scan of my teeth (with a very fancy machine!) to create my bespoke whitening trays. Two weeks later I was back collecting them along with my whitening gel. The Best Dental Practice in York!

I’m a firm believer that less is more. As a teenager, I wore fixed braces for two years so I was disheartened when one of my front teeth started to move. 1st class service from start to finish

Where do I start? Everything about this practice is brilliant. I was referred by my dentist to have 2 implants and 3 crowns. As a very nervous patient due to childhood trauma with a school dentist I entered the building with trepidation. I was greeted by a smiling and very reassuring friendly Richard. I then saw Dr Adam again who was so calm and professional with the perfect bedside manner instantly put me at my ease as he patiently allowed me time to express my fears. He drew up a comprehensive detailed plan and so started my 10 month journey. I can honestly say I looked forward to every visit due in part to the excellent staff all working there. I would particularly like to thank the following staff. Richard first impressions really do matter on entering a surgery and he has got it just right. Dr Tim, I had 2 root canal treatments have had many in the past which were long appointments and painful afterwards too. This time round the whole process didn't seem to take long and didn’t experience any pain afterwards and was constantly kept in the picture. Again Dr Tim so reassuring and professional I was able to relax knowing I was in safe hands. Thanks go to Jade too who drew up a comprehensive payment plan and again I met at most appointments. She wasn’t just interested in collecting money but also in me and how I was feeling and again a reassuring presence. A big thank you to Michelle who assisted in my treatment and answered many questions I had a long my journey. Again a very calm and reassuring presence. A special thanks to Dr Adam I am so so grateful for all your care and attention at every step of the journey. I’m so delighted at the outcome of the finished result I’m arranging to have another implant next month. My one regret I wish I had plucked up the courage to have this done years ago with you. I first visited Faye for a hygiene appointment prior to having composite bonding applied to my front teeth. The treatment was the most thorough and effective I have ever had but more importantly, I was told that I wasn’t brushing correctly, needed to change that and was taught how to do it! From the welcome you receive from lovely Ric when you walk in, to the professional and friendly treatment from the practitioners; this Dental Practice is excellent. To alleviate severe tension headaches and neck muscle pain caused by Bruxism(teeth grinding) it was suggested that I might try Botox. I met with Dr Saima Djebbar who advised injections into the masseter muscles either side of my jaw to shrink them. These injections were virtually painless and took about 5 minutes; I was advised they would take ten days to 3 weeks to take effect. A month on and I can report that my headaches are virtually gone and I’m no longer woken up by excruciating pain in the middle of the night. I can’t believe how this has changed my life for the better, well worth it. A huge shout out too for Faye Donald, a fantastic hygienist. I am currently on a treatment plan to straighten my teeth and will Leave a further review once this is complete but 7 months in I’m delighted with the progress. Thank you to Dr Steve Gibson.

A Job Well Done!

I am at the end of my Invisalign treatment at Andrea Ubhi Dentistry and I can't praise the quality of this super-skilled practice enough. On every level, the service was outstanding. At the outset, my teeth (both top and bottom) were crooked/snaggled enough that I hadn't smiled for a photograph in years. Thankfully those days are gone and now I can't stop smiling! My treatment took just under a year and it was well managed and well explained every step of the way. Frpm the incredible skill of Dr Steve Gibson to the helpfulness of every single member of staff I ever came across - my experience was great and I would highly recommend this practice. A special mention goes to Richard, who usually greeted my on reception and was always kind, cheerful and even made me a lovely cup of Yorkshire Tea during my most recent visit. Having two 15 year old crowns fail over a couple of months, i needed to have the teeth removed and looked at implants as an option to replace the front gaps..... So i contacted Andrea Ubhi Dentistry to see what my options were. Excellent experience yesterday having a root canal filling.As a child of the 1960's my teeth were heavily filled in my early years and although I have tried they have been gradually crumbling over many years. When it comes to excellence in dental implants treatment there’s A shining star in Andrea Ubhi Surgery, and his name is Dr Adam Glassford. He is clinically excellent, sincere about serving the best interests for his patients, for the high quality of services he offers and is supported by well trained dental nurses. I whole heartedly recommend him without reservation If anyone is reading this and is nervous to take the first step, don’t be, pick up the phone, and make an appointment with Adam,you will not be judged, he will listen to you and give you the facts! I have just completed 9 months dental plan with Adam and I had the following done: Top jaw old bridge removed and extractions, completely toothless bone grafting on either sides of my mouth, 6 implants placed 2 at the back and 4 in front and a fixed bridge placed I also had cosmetic bonding on my bottom teeth by Dr Steve Gibson, fantastic! And to finish off whitened up my bottom teeth to match my new fixed bridge. Its been a long journey and sometimes not very easy, but would I do it all again yes I would. Thank you Adam for giving me back my life, my confidence and my brand new smile!

Steve not only explained the reasons but also gave me the most suitable solutions to my discomfort. You are never too old

I thought about it for a long time and finally decided to treat myself for my 70th birthday! During my first consultation with Remo and Kim, I was assured that you are never too old so I started the process. I had braces top and bottom for 16 months, followed by whitening and a replacement veneer. I was very self-conscious about my crooked teeth - now I love my smile. Brilliant treatment right from the first phone call. After being in pain for four weeks..3 lots of anti biotics and my own dentist unwiling to see me i was recommended to try this practice. I rang and spoke to the lovely ladies on reception and was booked in for the next day. Tim Steel was the dentist that came to my rescue. He was very understanding and reassuring as i am a nervous patient. Talked me through the process..checked on my wellbeing throughout and did the fastest extraction ive ever had. Usually takes about 25 minutes to wrestle my teeth out. 5minutes after numbing was achieved he had the offending tooth out. Aftercare explained and being looked after by the team i am a very grateful patient. The follow up call a couple of days later to check on my progress was unexpected but appreciated.. and ,as i missed the call i also received an email to make sure i was ok and to check my progress. All in all a very positive experience despite the circumstances. I cant praise them highly enough and recommend anyone to this lovely practice

I first came to the practice a fair few years ago looking to straighten my teeth. The team were very helpful however due to a change in finances I was unable to go ahead with treatment at that time. When I returned a few years later I was surprised that Remo and Kim remembered me and gave me such a warm welcome. Ceramic brace treatment

I've had a fabulous experience at Andrea Ubhi. My treatment was for top and bottom ceramic braces to straighten my teeth and correct an open bite. The whole team are approachable and friendly, and I always looked forward to my appointments! Remo and Kim carried out most of my treatment, and were always very kind and professional, explaining everything that they needed to do and what to expect. They always asked me how I was doing and chatted to me which put me at ease. Although I'm not a nervous patient myself, I would definitely recommend them to those who are as they are so lovely. I'm very pleased with my teeth now, they look amazing and now that my bite is closed they work properly too! The ceramic braces are brilliant as you can barely notice them, and even though they can be painful at times and require careful cleaning it was all worth it in the end. Thanks so much guys!

I can honestly say I have had the best experience with both Dr Remo Costi & Kim Littlefair. I had my braces on for just under a year & I chose the ceramic fixed brace. As cabin crew I was very self-conscious of my smile with lots of people looking at me all the time. A wonderful experience

I recently had to wear a partial denture which I really and truly hate. My life has not been the same since, and i don't enjoy most foods now. I made an appointment with Andrea Ubhi Dentist and from entering the building to leaving i felt at ease with myself. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. I didn’t have the full confidence to smile in social events or at work before I had my teeth done. I’d had some bad dental work done elsewhere before which discoloured over time and was noticeable. Private dentistry - unbelievable but the cost was much less than my NHS dentist quoted. However, that was a minor point - the pre-procedure advice/recommendation was far superior. All my life I have been afraid of dentistry but this was a soothing experience. A very big thank you. BTW Cancelled my NHS dentist.

Dr Matthew Gahan - what a great dentist he is, highly recommend anyone to go for your first consultation with him as he is so patient and listens to your every concern and goes through everything! I am currently undergoing brace treatment with Dr Remo Costi. I decided on having upper and lower ceramic braces to straighten my teeth. The braces themselves are great and barely visible, even in photographs and a lot of my friends don't realise i have them fitted. I have had the braces on for about 5-6 moths now and the results so far are fantastic, better than expected. I see Dr Costi for a review appointment every 4-8 weeks at which he checks the progress, makes the necessary tweaks needed and generally refreshes everything as the bands around the brackets can stain slightly with certain foods so the regular appointments are great. Dr Remo Costi and his nurse Kim are great, they are very professional and friendly. At every appointment they reassure me things are looking great and going well. I would recommend Andrea Ubhi Dentistry and Dr Remo Costi highly, all the team from the lovely girls on reception to the nurses and Remo are fantastic!

I wanted a more secured alternative to my loose denture because I was having trouble eating some foods and I was frightened that my dentures would fly out. 5 star service,experience and treatment!

I had some fillings done with Dr Gibson. I am such a nervous patient but it was painless, pretty quick and an over all nice calm experience. Dr. Gibson and his nurse Bronwin talked me through everything, I was completely informed and at ease, they are very caring and professional. I don't actually know why I was worried. The fillings are amazing, you cannot even see them. I didn't have any tenderness afterwards! Great!
